Ever wish your Android device could read your SMS messages out to you? Then SMSpeaker is for you!

Our design objective was to accommodate the access needs of people who have low-vision, individuals with reading disabilities, seniors (like me who can't see so well), and people receiving SMS messages while driving their car.

Your text messages will automatically read out loud when you receive them (option). You can then press the call button and automatically call that person back. The application only costs 99 cents. It is available from Android Market. SMSpeaker uses Google's Text-To-Speech (TTS) library. If you do not have it installed already, SMSpeaker will first ask you to install the TTS. Google's TTS is a free download.

Note: SMSpeaker^® has been upgraded to uses Google's Donut Text-To-Speech (TTS) library for higher quality speech.
